Katherine Workshop Nov 2020
Emma Murphy again travelled to Katherine on behalf of Living Languages 5-6 November for another workshop with Chiyo, Betty and Susan from Barunga. Here is a report from the Jawoyn language teachers about what they did together:
We started the workshop with Andrew who was on Zoom from Melbourne. He made an online quiz to help us remember what we learnt at the last workshop. From there, we did some language teaching games with Emma, and started thinking about art language to teach the older girls.
On the second day, Andrew helped us learn some sentences with new verbs, then we had Roko join on Zoom from Broome. She gave us more ideas with new teaching games using the language we’ve been learning.
It was good seeing Andrew and Roko on Zoom but we are looking forward to seeing them when they come next, we hope!
